An experimental self-directed course of study undertaken in the home of James and Janie Washington. The curriculum explores Mr. Washington’s mystical library. The trifold project included the construction of the first Hoping Machine, a series of contemplative collage-paintings, a sing-edition artist research book, and a site-specific meditative installation.
