The Forgetting Place

Performance
Desolation Canyon, Utah
2013
How can we talk to the cliffs and the canyons? Where is the horizon line in fact and fiction, true and tall-tale, folks and folklore? What are our vanishing points? Heat & however, a rigorous never, a nearly, an almost, a no. This is the story of what gets remembered by choosing to forget. Like rain from the sky for a yin-yang yearning, one loop becomes a line becomes a moon-shape in the mire. Less is less is less is less. So run river, sun shiver, syncopate a new.

I let my self become the same color as the canyon. I let my hands make me a vanishing point. I built a forgetting place by making up my mind.
